The 2AM Group, which stands for Automotive, Aeronautics and Marine, a new BMW service supplier, will open in Duncan in late July and expects to hire 100 people over the next two years.

EchoStar Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: DISH) DISH Network satellite television service will open its fourth satellite equipment refurbishment and repair center in Spartanburg, S.C.  EchoStar plans to hire more than 1,300 additional full-time employees, following completion of the build-out of the facility located in the Fairforest Business Center near the intersection of I-85 and I-26. The EFG team is delighted to have assisted in this project.

Weaver Precast, Inc., a leading manufacturer and installer of Superior Walls™ system and Epic,™ systems is proud to announce its new location in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This facility will manufacture and install precast concrete and insulated wall panel systems, used in both above and below ground applications.  Current plans include start-up of production in June 2006.  Initial employment is expected to be 40.

SEW-Eurodrive, a market-leader in drive engineering and a driving force for innovation and progress, providing gear motors, frequency inverters, servo drive systems, decentralized drive systems, and industrial gear units, requested a Fee-In-Lieu of Taxes (FILOT) from Spartanburg County Council this month. This project represents the potential for a $12 million dollar investment and 5 additional jobs. The EFG is pleased to have assisted in this project.

Rohmann GmbH

Rohmann GmbH: As a direct result of the Western European Project Development Initiative of the EFG in March 2005, during which the EFG team identified and met with the owners of Rohmann GmbH, an international NDT-company specializing in instruments, systems and projects featuring eddy-current testing, company officials visited in mid-February and made the commitment to locate in Spartanburg, SC after careful consideration of Atlanta, GA.  Rohmann GmbH plans to begin operations at Corporate Center.  Start-up is projected in late spring.  Initial employment is anticipated to be 10. The EFG team is delighted to have assisted Rohmann GmbH in their location decision-making process.

United Resource Recovery Corporation

United Resource Recovery Corporation, requested a Fee-In-Lieu of Taxes (FILOT) from Spartanburg County Council this month. This project represents the potential for a $14 million initial investment and the creation of 20 new full-time jobs and retention of 15 existing. The EFG, along with other local and state allies are assisting in the project.

Magna Donnelly to Locate New Facility in Spartanburg Area

Magna Donnelly, a wholly owned operating group of Magna International Inc., announced plans to open a satellite facility in Duncan, South Carolina, where it will build exterior rearview mirrors for BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC. Magna Donnelly plans to begin operations at the facility in mid-November 2005. Initial employment is expected to be 25.add 5-7 additional jobs.
