Spartanburg Community College & Michelin North America Partner to Offer New Scholar "Learn & Earn" Program

Spartanburg, S.C. - Upstate residents looking for a new job or a career change in the booming manufacturing industry can take advantage of a new Spartanburg Community College scholars program thanks to a partnership between SCC and Michelin North America. The SCC Michelin Manufacturing Scholars Program offers exceptional "learn and earn" opportunities for individuals interested in hands-on training, technical certification from SCC and a potential manufacturing career with Michelin. Applications from qualified candidates are now being accepted for the program and for classes that begin on May 14, 2018.

Spartanburg Community College to Host 2018 Economic Visionaries Celebration

Spartanburg, S.C. - Spartanburg Community College will recognize the contributions of Upstate businesses at the second annual 2018 Economic Visionaries Celebration planned for March 22, 2018 at the Spartanburg Marriott. Four companies from Spartanburg, Union and Cherokee counties will be named "Economic Visionaries" based on their company size and significant contributions in transforming the Upstate business community. Duke Energy's President, Chairman and Chief Executive Office, Lynn Good, will be the guest speaker.

Precision Jig & Fixture South growing its Spartanburg County operations

Ritrama investing in Spartanburg County facility expansion

Rudolph Logistics Group launching development in Spartanburg County

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Rudolph Logistics Group, an international logistics service provider, is launching a new warehousing operation in Spartanburg County. The Germany-based company is projected to bring more than $18 million of capital investment and create at least 150 new jobs.

Spartanburg, SC - 06/26/2017 - The BMW Group has been a committed “local player” in the US market for a quarter-century: On 23 June 1992, the BMW Group announced its decision to build its US plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Continuous expansion of the plant with extensive additions and the decision to build the successful BMW X models in Spartanburg have made the plant the largest manufacturing facility in the BMW Group production network within the space of 25 years. During the ceremony to mark the anniversary, the all-new BMW X3 rolled off the production line in Spartanburg. More than 1.5 million BMW X3 vehicles have been delivered to customers worldwide since it was first launched at the end of 2003. The new BMW X3 will be launched in fall 2017.
